Some weeks ago I was informed by the webportal/magazine CEO-Monthly that I, as CEO of MassSpecpecD BV, was nominated for "Most Influential CEO 2024 - Netherlands (Analytical Instruments)".

I founded my company in June 2015 on the campus of the University of Twente, Enschede, NL, after a long career of 30+ years in Academia at Radboud University, California Institute of Technology and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

In December 2015 I was awarded The Analytical Scientist Innovation Award for our novel chiral Mass Spectrometry technology, coined MS-PECD (see e.g. here https://lnkd.in/eufcHJ_x). The 2015 TAS Innovation Award was for me at that time a great recognition and a strong encouragement to continue on our just started journey to move novel high-tech Analytical Instrumentation from Academia to commercial applications and customers.

Now, almost 10 years later in the Fall of 2024, we are recognized by CEO-Monthly as Most Influential CEO, within the Analytical Instrumentation industry of the Netherlands.

I consider this 2024-CEO-award as a further encouragement for us to continue with our mission to bring our novel (deep-tech) innovation for direct Mass Spectrometry of chiral molecules to the global Laboratory Analytical Instrumentation Market. We are getting close to Market Introduction I believe.
