Advancing Chiral Mass Spectrometry: DEMCON and MassSpecpecD BV Partner to Scale Breakthrough Analytical Technology

DEMCON and MassSpecpecD BV are collaborating to bring MassSpecpecD’s laser-based Chiral Mass Spectrometry technology (MS-PECD) to commercial scale. This advanced analytical technology, based on PhotoElectron Circular Dichroism, enables direct and highly sensitive detection of the enantiomeric composition of chiral molecules. It offers promising potential for applications in sectors such as food, flavors & fragrances, pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals, as well as in academic, medical and research environments.
Combining MassSpecpecD’s scientific expertise with DEMCON’s experience in high-tech systems development, engineering and industrialization, both companies see opportunities to take the next steps towards making this promising technology ready for innovative customer applications.
